1st Day Benefits We are looking for a customer focused and detail-oriented Scheduler to join our Mercy LIFE Valley View team.
Mercy LIFE Valley View is a member of Trinity Health PACE.
Our facility ministers exclusively to the elderly through a coordinated care model which provides preventive, primary, acute and long-term care services designed to assist older individuals to live as independently as possible while continuing to live within their community.
Mercy Life Valley View also provides both housing and the Mercy LIFE program for senior adults.
This program provides services to a community specifically comprised of deaf seniors.
All candidates must be willing to learn American Sign Language (ASL).
Interpreters and/or communication assistance will be provided while training.

Coordinates and schedules external appointments for all participants Coordinates Interpreter services Contacts participant/caregivers to remind them of the next day appointments.
Works closely and communicates with the transportation department, participants, caregivers, and center staff regarding participant schedule.
Maintains complete and accurate participant schedules, including the amount, frequency, and duration of service that has been identified in the plan of care.
Notifies appropriate manager when requests for scheduling changes are received that require a physician's order.
Records all scheduling changes, updates, and deletions on the schedule daily What you will need:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year scheduling experience required.
Experience with patient/medical scheduling strongly desired.
One (1) year of customer service experience serving as the first point of contact via email/phone/in person strongly preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft product suite (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
); basic knowledge and experience with electronic mail and calendaring system.
Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience working with a frail or elderly population or if less than one (1) year of experience, must receive appropriate training from the PACE organization on working with a frail or elderly population upon hiring.
Superior written/verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational, problem solving and customer service skills as well as ability to adapt to change and attention to detail.
Must be willing to learn ASL (American Sign Language).
Proficiency with ASL (American Sign Language) preferred.
Position requires ability to engage in frequent kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting, sitting, walking, bending and lifting.
Must be able to push, pull, move and or lift a minimum of 20 pounds if applicable.
